REMINDER - for the meeting tonight - We are having a Webelos II and interested youth visitation night Monday 1/26/2015 at 7:30 pm during our regular meeting night. The troop typically meets in our outdoor area behind the church, so dress appropriately. There will be a parents meeting also that evening Troop 525 is boy-led. Every boy is required to hold leadership positions as he advances in rank. He is encouraged to step up and hold positions of increasing responsibility as he progresses on his trail to Eagle. The leadership team meets monthly to set the program and plan the meetings and outings (Green Bar). The program is outdoor based with an emphasis on having fun, learning Scout skills, and advancement. The program is anchored by two weeklong summer camps each summer, monthly outings, Sea Base and Philmont trips, as well as other activities planned by the boy leaders and Troop Committee. The troop meets each Monday night beginning at 7:30 PM at Simpsonwood United Methodist Church Key 2015 dates for Webelos that cross over to Troop 525 or youth that join in the spring * April 17 - 19, 2015 – New Scout Campout * May 15 - 16, 2015 – Lock In SUMC * June 7 – 13, 2015 – Week Long summer camp Woodruff Scout Reservation – Blairsville, GA * July 5 – 11, 2015 – Week Long summer camp Skymont Scout Reservation – Altamont, TN
