REMORSE is an emotional expression of personal regret felt by a person after they have committed an act which they deem to be shameful, hurtful, or violent. REPENTANCE is the activity of reviewing ones actions and feeling contrition or regret for past wrongs. It generally involves a commitment to personal change and resolving to live a more responsible and humane life. CONFESSION is a statement made by a person or a group of people acknowledging some personal fact that the person (or the group) would prefer to keep hidden. The term is generally associated with an admission of a moral or legal wrong. SALVATION is being saved or protected from harm or being saved or delivered from some dire situation. In religion, salvation is stated as the saving of the soul from sin and its consequences. LOVE can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another. It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, ones self or animals. OBEDIENCE, in human behavior, is a form of social influence in which a person yields to explicit instructions or orders from an authority figure.
