In return, the company offers an excellent market related remuneration package for qualified candidates RESTAURANT MANAGER / TEAM MEMBERS RESTAURANT MANAGER We are looking for energetic, highly experienced, motivated high performing citizen individual with strong leadership and managerial skills as well as traceable references for appointment as a Restaurant Manager for our steers Restaurant in Gaborone. Main Purpose of the Job The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the entire restaurant team, maintaining operational standards, safeguarding restaurant assets and ensuring excellent customer service. They provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of delivery of the various operations of the business. The incumbent is also responsible for driving sales and outlet profitability, controlling expenses and ensuring customer and employee satisfaction. This includes monitoring all sales and budgets, maintaining a track record of the excellent operational standards as well as managing staff performance, staff welfare and maintaining team discipline Key performance Developing specific plans to achieve set targets and goals of the Branch and prioritize, organize and accomplish agreed performance schedules (work assigned) Regularly reporting on the performance of the Branch as per the agree operational standards; overseeing the entire restaurant operations; Managing expenses in line with prescribed budgets Scheduling of events, programs and activities, as well as the work of subordinate team members Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring their performance Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members and administer general training programs Identifying training and development needs of team members and providing coaching, mentoring, and help to team members in order to improve their job performance knowledge, skills and competencies Analysing information, data and evaluating results to come up with the best solutions for problems / challenges encountered and proposing improvement initiatives Handling complaints, resolving disputes, resolving grievances, resolving conflicts and maintaining team member discipline Managing administrative procedures, including cash ups, floats, banking, orders, stock control, timesheets and staffing levels Managing store marketing; implementing and driving marketing initiatives Ensuring a friendly and hospitable restaurant atmosphere; interfaces with customers and resolve queries Qualifications A relevant Diploma from a tertiary institution in the hospitality industry. Computer literate (MS word, excel, outlook) is a requirement. Own transport would be an added advantage Experience At least 5 years experience at management level in a Franchise operation, and must have completed a management training course with a restaurant franchise Skills & Competencies Good problem solving skills Excellent verbal and written communications Good presentation skills Good people management skills Good computer skills Ability to meet high standards Ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment Working conditions The right candidate must be prepared to work 6 days a week; flexible hours including, public holidays, evenings and weekends.
