RESTORATION OF COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES IN THE OIL PRODUCING COMMUNITIES, IMO STATE : NDDC COTTAGE HOSPITAL, & THE ASSA OHAJIEGBEMA EXAMPLE.... The Assa Autonomous Community in the Ohaji/Egbema LGA is an agrarian, Oil Producing Community...The discovery of the Black Gold in this Community, has like other Communities in the Niger Delta, destroyed the excellent, harmonious inter-personal,inter-kindred rship existing in the African Social Setting.....Crude found,exploited since 1958 till date,has remained a TERRIBLE NIGHTMARE TO THE PEOPLE WITHOUT COMMENSURATE IMPACT, & DEVELOPMENT... This historic negligence, abandonment, & deprivations are the same stories in all the Oil Producing Communities of Imo State especially, & the Niger Delta generally... One greatest aspect of the African Social Setting destroyed by the CRUDE OIL DISCOVERY IS THE KINDRED /COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES INVOLVING YOUTH AS VOLUNTEERS,OR PARENTS AS FREE DONORS....Yes,most of the Secondary Schools in the Old Eastern Region, especially the Old Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta Communities were built through these Communities efforts, activities, except few MISSIONARY SCHOOLS... And apart from the OHAJI HIGH SCHOOL, MGBIRICHI, & EGBEMA SECONDARY SCHOOL, ALL SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN THE OHAJIEGBEMA LGA Were conceived, executed through Communities Kindred activities...Leading the revolution was the Assa Autonomous Community in 1976,& the Awarra Autonomous Community in 1978 through the Assa Secondary Commercial School, OhajiEgbema LGA, & the Boys Secondary School, Awarra, now Community Secondary School, Awarra, OhajiEgbema LGA... However, the impact of the relevance of CRUDE OIL,MILITANCY IN THE NIGER DELTA,NEGLECT / LITTLE ATTENTION BY GOVT,& CORRUPTION OF THE POLITICAL LEADERS,degenerated in the orgy stories of killings,untold violence, rape of mothers/daughters,wanton destruction of property @ the slightest provocation, plus other abominable, abhorrent activities took over these Oil Producing Communities in Imo State, & Niger Delta...And thus, Communal /Kindred Lives got so brazenly destroyed...We are victims in several ways.... But the good news is the restoration of the Communal/Kindred Ways of Activities in the Oil Producing Communities of Imo State, especially the Oil-Belt of Ohaji (Awarra-Court-Area) in the Ohajiegbema LGA, Imo State.... Reconciliation, & entrenchment of unconditional forgiveness amongst the former VIOLENT GROUPS HELPED ENORMOUSLY... This where boundless appreciation, & commendations are given to the Rt Hon Goodluck Opiah for supporting, collaborating,& continuously encouraging me,Barr Temple Okonji ,& All Peace Ambassadors financially, & morally in the realization, & the sustenance of PEACE, RECONCILIATION, & SECURITY, ESPECIALLY IN THE AWARRA -COURT-AREA,IMO STATE....JEHOVAH SHALL REWARD,& REPAY GOODLUCK OPIAH, PLUS EVERYBODY WHO MADE MONETARY /MORAL COMMITMENT TO THIS NEW GLORY.... And to confirm the restoration of the communal style as practiced, the YOUTH OF THE ASSA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY, Has continued to PARTNER WITH THE NDDC IN THE COUNTERPART ACTIVITIES @ NDDC COTTAGE HOSPITAL THROUGH COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES.... Yes,from the Clearing of the Site to the excavation of the foundation of the Hospital, its been sustained...Each Village in the Community competing to contribute higher through the Youth.... The excavation of the FOUNDATION on October 11-12,2014 commenced with Prayers with Men of God involving the Youth....The historic rainfall on the October 11,2014 caused the conclusion of the excavation on Sunday, October 12,2014 sacrificing Sunday Morning Worship....Personally,I took permission in my church before the commencement of the Sunday School in order to supervise this new phase of existence....Its a huge success! Our Communities are reclaimed, & restored.... THANK YOU JESUS.....
