REVISED notes on the structure of our new group: Permaculture United is a call out to all the people of planet Earth. Especially to those knowledgeable in the skills & fine arts of Permaculture Principles & Ethics. It is a call out to we the people to join hands across the planet & pledge to make this a better world for ourselves & our children. The current power structure that revolves around money is melting down. We need the solutions that Permaculture Design & Ethics offer. The central idea of Permaculture United is to create small groups of people working on solutions to food & housing security issues and to unite existing groups already working towards these goals. All small groups will be known as Permaculture Action Groups It will be advised ( but not required) that all group leaders should have gone through a Permaculture Design Certification Course. Groups will be able to have multiple leaders. Membership in all groups will be free of charge. Each group will decide their own action plans. Once per month at least one member of each group will report to a regional leadership online as to who, what, when, where, why, & how their Permaculture Action Plans are being carried out. This information will be shared in Facebook Groups by geographical location at first. A database to store & organize all data collected will be needed. Members of Permaculture United will have their own accounts with an ID & Password and provide an email address for contacting purposes. Members will have access to most of the data collected by all the groups. The database will have a search engine. The data is the glue that will hold the members together & connected . As more & more Action Plans are completed members will be able to search the database for ideas on action plans. Leaders ( and members) will in effect be building a resume of sorts by documenting all the activities they were involved with. Use of photographs , drawings, & videos will be encouraged to document each project. The list of priorities established should be kept in mind as guiding principles when determining Permaculture Action Plans. The database on all important Permaculture concepts above & beyond the data provided by the Permaculture Action Groups will be collected & made available to all interested parties. Permaculture United will seek to establish working relationships with related Organizations including Non Profits & NGOs, Educational Institutions, and businesses seeking a green & sustainable presence in their communities. We will encourage but not require PAGs to work with these organizations & provide contact info to the small groups through the leadership of each individual group. This is the basic concept of the structure of our planned Associations.
