As of Jan. 1, there are a total of 5,500 work permits available, allocated among different categories. Implementation timeframe: Jan. 1, 2014. Visas/permits affected: Work permits for highly-skilled workers, intracompany transferees, local hires and others. Who is affected: All foreign nationals and companies hiring and assigning foreign nationals in Romania. Impact on processing times: None.
