Rachel and I had an AMAZING day at Dayfly Books and Collectibles yesterday. We decided short notice to offer a sale for the last Saturday Before Christmas, I bought a 30.00 ad on Facebook to boost our event. As of 12:30 yesterday afternoon (we opened at 10) we had made 20.00, oh ye of little faith started to get discouraged, we had 2 dozen muffins and hot coffee just waiting for customers and THEN it happened. WOW! The people came and they bought gifts and they ate muffins and they discussed literature, the environment, comics and movies! It was an absolutely amazing afternoon. We finally closed around 6:30 (we were supposed to close at 6) and came home so energized and excited about the little store. This is what the vision for Dayfly was all about, not only a bookstore but a gathering place for intellectual thought and conversation. THANK YOU to everyone who came out. If you didnt make it out yesterday we will be open 10am-6pm on Tuesday and 10am-2pm on Christmas Eve. We will reopen Saturday, December 27 from 10am - 4pm.
