Rather bittersweet. Today, I participated in a Jim Wahlberg ( yes, of the Wahlberg Family) production along with my family, and others families affected by this tragic disease. I was honored to be asked by Jim to gather as many folks as I could to participate. My courageous friends from Learn to Cope and GRASP, in spite of the weather, joined me at Saint Williams church. The movie being produced is a very poignant story about two teenage boys that struggle with addiction. One of the boys sadly loses Hus battle. We participated as extras in filming the funeral. We were also given the opportunity to hold a framed photo of our lost loved one which will appear at the films end. A very emotional day for all present. I thank Jim Wahlberg for having the ccurage to put a face on this tragic epidemic. More importantly I thank the moms, dads, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends for their courageous and selfless act of love. We will never be silent.
