Raunchier Version of Anchorman 2 Coming to Theaters Citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom, get ready for an R-rated Ron Burgundy. Americas favorite fake news anchor is returning to the big screen with an extended version of Anchorman 2. The PG-13 movie hit theaters in December, bringing in $169 million. Thats around $80 million more than the original Anchorman, according to Box Office Mojo, even though Anchorman 2s opening weekend was worse than expected. The extended release, which will run for just one week in about 1,000 theaters, starts on Feb. 28.
