Read through the Bible - 1/27: Genesis 43-45 Gen 45:4(ESV) So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. 5 And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. Joseph, moved by his half-brothers offer to stay instead of Benjamin, erases decades of jealousy and strife by reconciling with his brothers. That is how grace and forgiveness works, isnt it? When we let go of our resentment and allow forgiveness to take place, peace and joy come rushing in. I hope you have experienced this cleansing in your life. Do you have broken relationships? Past hurts? Misunderstandings? Let them go - and pursue reconciliation. The rejoicing that will come will largely erase the pain, and greatly surpass the time of heartache that you experienced. Ps 133:1(ESV) Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
