Real Talk by Dr. Meg: .......personally I am outraged by the senseless death of Trayvon Martin and with every ounce of my rational and logical thought, believe GZ committed a senseless unjustified murder. Professionally, I believe in the process of our criminal justice system and how it works. As a criminal justice professional, practitioner and educator I understand fully the purpose of the system and the structure of law enforcement, investigative and court procedures. To be honest, what the defense has done in this case is nothing less than I would expect if I were the defendant. A the end of the day, my primary goal would be to walk out the back door with my family and go home instead of walking through the chamber door in handcuffs and being labeled an "inmate". You can judge me, but before you do, ask yourself "are you willing to change places with any inmate currently incarcerated in a state or federal correctional institution"?
