Really positive news coming out about our programming in Gaza during the current conflict. Mohammed Kh. El.Halabi (Project Manager, World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza) writes: I would like to inform you that we have amazing news about the impact of our PSS and PFA intervention. The resilience of our beneficiaries was proved during the truce through many evidences. 1- The interesting one is that a man and a woman who participated in the PFA and PSS activities in one of the UNRWA shelters in North Gaza have married today and a big wedding celebration was conducted in the shelter which was covered by many Arab and western media agencies. WV and our partner staff have helped in all preparations and logistics for the wedding. It is a real evidence of the effectiveness of our PSS and PFA activities. See the link below for a report about the wedding in the local news. alwatanvoice/arabic/news/2014/08/13/577924.html. 2- WV AMENCA beneficiaries (Farmers) have managed to reach their lands and fixed their irrigation networks and planted their lands though they know that cease-fire might not hold tomorrow and their lands will not be accessible. 3- I visited today the children in our CFSs who lost their houses and at least one person from their families and who were suffering from sever distress and was surprised when I saw them singing for peace and their right in protection and their resilience was so obvious. I shared this story with Sydney Radio today during my interview.
