Realm Merger Sales ... I have heard recently some players expressing concern with dropped sales as a result of the mergers. There is no denying that when two realms [in our case] merge with one realm that the economy will not be affected - because it will. It can take a merged realm anywhere between 6-8 weeks to settle. When you further take into consideration that we have a new expansion approaching this too will add weight to a balancing economy. The secret to surviving the economic changes is observation, understanding the traffic flows but also spotting bargains and finally already knowing the marker prices of your own realm before the realm mergers. There is a lot more gold travelling through the auction house today than there was on the 23rd September, when we were just Alonsus. More commodity is shifting out, more gold is changing hands, there is something like an additional 75% of additional item quantity hitting the AH every hour of every day since we merged with Kul Tiras. Now that we have merged with Anachronous we will see even more commodity shifts. Things ARE selling although it may not look that way to the casual trader. Alonsus now has more gold goblins than we previously had. Transmogrification is taking a huge input and what was once in Alonsus simply levelling gear is now Xmog, because of how the other two realms worked their own xmog markets. If you are holding certain greens/blues/purples that are not selling, then my advice is hang on to them, DO NOT vendor, DO NOT become demotivated, BUT DO research your items - if struggling then if you have the space, simply hold onto them. Above everything DO NOT GIVE UP, sales are all over the place today, but will always be better in the tomorrows :)
