Recently 30 support groups received green houses from USAIDs APHIAplus Nuru ya Bonde in an effort to improve health and nutrition in their community. Support groups are for for people living with HIV, or caregivers. Daniel Tuwei is a member of the Lalwet Support Group in Nakuru County. The Lalwet group is a beneficiary of the green house project which they use to grow tomatoes. The Nakuru County Governor, Hon. Kinuthia Mwangi, donated a water storage tank to the group to ensure the crops have a constant supply of water. Lalwet group members are also community health volunteers and they conduct community sensitization on living positively with HIV, the importance of adherence to HIV treatment, and the importance of proper nutrition.
