Recently I learned that the single most important ingredient we should look for in our skin creams and treatments is retinoids, a vitamin A derivative that can reverse the signs of aging in four to six weeks, reducing fine lines, evening skin tone and unclogging pores. The over the counter version is called retinol. Shown here is Olay ProX Wrinkle Smoothing Cream. In scientific studies this product in combination with ProX Repair Lotion with SPF 30 during the day and ProX Deep Wrinkle Treatment in the am and pm actually gives better results than prescription strength Renova. Unfortunately, buying those three products will require a small bank loan (although Renova would require a prescription, and maybe a slightly larger bank loan). The ProX Anti-Aging starter protocol contains smaller versions of two of the three products mentioned, and an eye treatment instead of the Deep Wrinkle Treatment, for $43. I think its worth a try. Watch for coupons in the P&G Brand Saver in the Sunday paper (yes I still get a Sunday paper, for the coupons) and watch for sales. Once youve jump started your wrinkle reversal with the starter protocol, you could then switch to or alternate with the Olay Regenerist line which also contains retinol, or try one of the Neutrogena or RoC products (labels may have similar words like retinyl). The Olay products mentioned here are all fragrance free.
