Recently completed reading an almost thousand page biography of George Washington and was incredibly revealing about the man. One thing was was interesting was, as President, he would not comment nor endorse candidates running for Congress. His reasoning was that he felt there should be a separation in that he was in the Executive branch of government which executes the laws and they were in the Legislative branch and he felt that an endorsement by him was a conflict. Very interesting perspective!
