Recently, the Houston metroplex has had an increase in Bank Juggings. Bank Jugging is used to describe suspects who sit and watch customers go in and leave banks with cash withdrawals. Frequently, suspects will sit in their vehicle and follow a customer to a nearby retail center or commercial business. Once the bank customer leaves their vehicle and walks into a business, the suspect burglarizes the vehicle and takes the victims money. Please be aware of your surroundings while entering and leaving financial institutions. Remember to conceal cash withdrawals so onlookers in the parking lot cannot see it. Lastly, if you see believe you are being followed after leaving a bank or see someone who appears suspicious sitting in their vehicle and not conducting a business transaction, contact the police at (non-emergency) 713-477-1221.
