Red 2 (2013) 8/10 I hate her so much Plot - Retired C.I.A agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. This is a case of a sequel out doing what came before,i mean i liked Red(2010) but with new characters this film felt more of the same but brought a bit more to the table.So with Morgan Freeman,Karl Urban less you think the latest offering might lack star power but actually neither are missed and the new additions really add something missing last time. So with a fantastic cast already with Bruce Willis,John Malkovich,Helen Mirren then you add Catherine Zeta-Jones,Anthony Hopkins and Byung Hun Lee now it really might seem like overkill but all characters really add new layers to this film instead of being throw away ones. What i love about Red 2 is you dont really have to be up to speed with the predecessor and its easy to follow. My advice is this a film NOT to be over- analyzed at all or you may not enjoy it. Highlights include many great action scenes,Sarah(Mary-Louise Parker) coming into her own despite may false starts & the great rivally she has with Katja(Zeta Jones). Another thing is this has a twist which though my interest may have peaked really made the last part of the film so much better. Red 2 is more of the same that you got before but with better action,larger bodycount its sarcastic,lively,entertaining with fun thats never in short supply that outperforms what you got last time in my opinion. What happens in the kremlin stays in the kremlin
