Ree is a four year old American Bulldog. When I first saw Ree, she was at a shelter in Atlanta. Originally, they thought she had been shot in the eye. Because the shelter does not have the funds or resources to treat these kinds of severe injuries, they almost put her down. Luckily for her, one of the shelter employees is an AAU volunteer and he posted a video of her in a desperate attempt to save her life.. Despite the obvious pain she was in, her loving spirit shined through. Fate and AAU saved her life. She was immediately transported to an emergency vet for assessment. Unfortunately, the injury was too severe and infection had already started to set in. They were worried that it was spreading to her brain. She might of lost her eye, but she hasnt lost her love for life and people. Ree is completely recovered from the eye removal surgery, up to date on shots, micro-chipped, and spayed. She is so ready for her furever family! Ree is wonderful with other dogs and kids, though she might knock down smaller children with her excitement and exuberance. This bully baby shines from the inside out. I have fostered many many pit bulls and bully breeds, and I can say with absolute truth that they are the most loyal, loving, obedient, and resilient dogs. Ree is no exception to this. She would make a wonderful addition to any family. Who wouldnt want a dog thats always smiling and winking atcha?
