Reported stolen property recovered: Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Josh Scott, along with Corbin City Police Detective Rusty Hedrick recovered reported stolen power tools on Monday, March 17, 2014. Following an investigation, stolen tools were located at a pawn shop in the city limits of Corbin that had been taken there by a male subject.. Allegedly a male subject who was employed by another person failed to return the tools to the owner when he quit working for the victim. Allegedly, numerous attempts were made to get the subject to return the tools. The tools recovered today will be returned to their rightful owner. There value was approx. $1,200. The investigation into the theft of the tools is continuing with charges expected. Pictured are the tools recovered by Detective Josh Scott.
