Reports that the feared methane gas bursts started to happen in Siberian arctic permafrost melt zone came just days ago, and global warming is high speed now. Poisoning of the earths waters and lands is also high speed, with ongoing Fukushima radiation and a highly likely coming fuel rods disaster there, which will mathematically be the equivalent of 13K Hiroshima bombs and 100x that of the Chernobyl catastrophe. When most people in modern culture ask, How can we stop global warming? they arent really asking what they pretend theyre asking. They are really saying How can we stop global warming without stopping the burning of oil and gas, without stopping the industrial infrastructure, the 24/7 internet... without stopping this omnicidal system? The answer is, you cant. Imagine, for a moment, if space aliens had invaded this planet and they were the ones scalping native forests and putting dams on every river, and changing the climate rapidly, and putting dioxins and dozens of other carcinogens into every mothers breast milk, and into the flesh of your children, lover, mother, father, brother, sister, friends - and into your own flesh? Does this help you imagine resisting? How much worse would the damage have to get before you would stop those who were killing the planet, killing those you love, killing you? Deep Green Resistance is about fighting back, about responding to the fact that industrially-caused global warming is pushing mass extinction into ALL biomes, a heretofore unprecedented situation in the history of the planet - It may be too late for our species, but the least we can do is resist what is making 200 species a day extinct. What do we mean by fighting back? It means first and foremost thinking and feeling for ourselves, finding who and what we love, and figuring out how best to defend our beloved, using the means that are appropriate and necessary. We are not just about continuing the same conservation efforts and civil disobediences that the environmental movement has been doing for decades - efforts which, (though noble) have done very little to stop the machine of infinite growth industrial killing of the planet, and the insane culture that supports it. We are about a coherent resistance strategy. The points of industrial interface, the infrastructure of the profiteers, bullies, the traffickers - these things are finite in number, and not hard to identify.
