The defence in this game was pretty good for the most part from both teams, the only concern was the amount penalties for the Jets amounting to 9. The secondary for the jets struggled in the 1st quarter giving up a 45yd completion to DaRick Rodgers and a 22yd completion to TY Hilton. Andrew Luck completed one drive in the game. Baltimore Ravens 23 San Francisco 49ers 3 Joe Flacco: 4/5, 52yds Tyrod Taylor: 13/21, 116yds, 1 TD, 1 INT & 59 Rush yds Lorenzo Taliaferro: 13 Rec, 71yds Ray Rice: 3 Rush, 17yds Kamar Aiken: 4 Rec, 46yds Steve Smith: 1 Rec, 9yds The Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl 47 rematch but the 49ers second team offence struggled, with the backup QBs only gaining 109yds combined after Colin Kaepernick completed 1 drive and completing the only pass he threw for 17yds. The 9ers defence however have up a TD to the Ravens first string offence. Again it is only Preseason and the 49ers will improve. Washington Redskins 23 New England Patriots 6: Kirk Cousins: 9/13, 103yds, 1TD Colt McCoy: 8/9, 102yds, 1TD Robert Griffin III: 2/4, 9yds Lache Seastrunk: 12 Rush, 63yds Alfred Morris: 5 Rush, 27yds. Aldrick Robinson: 3 Rec, 45yds Washington controlled this game the whole way but that is expected when Tom Brady doesnt even throw a pass. The Redskins didnt really use RG3 either. Kirk Cousins had a strong game throwing a TD and didnt throw any interceptions. The only TD thrown by the Patriots was by Jimmy Garoppolo to Brian Tyms. Kansas City Chiefs 41 Cincinnati Bengals 39 Chase Daniel: 8/10, 126yds, 1TD Tyler Bray: 2/3, 37yds Alex Smith: 3/5, 19yds Cyrus Gray: 10 Rush, 55yds, 1TD Jamaal Charles: 3 Rush, 12yds Travis Kelce: 2 Rec, 73yds, 1TD Dwayne Bowe: 1 Rec, 10yds The bengals got off to a hot start up 10-0 early but the Chiefs came back in a hurry with a field goal and a Touchdown later in the quarter, Jason Campbell threw a pick six and this put the Chiefs on top 17-10 in the first quarter. Many of the touchdowns were actually scored on defence. Andy Dalton went 3/5 for 71yds. San Diego Charger 27 Dallas Cowboys 7: Kellen Clemens: 5/5, 134yds, 1TD Philip Rivers: 4/4, 61yds Brad Sorenson: 5/7, 48yds Branden Oliver: 7 Rush, 64yds, 1TD Ryan Mathews: 5 Rush, 19yds Danny Woodhead: 2 Rush, 10yds Dontrelle Inman: 3 Rec, 107yds, 1TD LaDarius Green: 2 Rec, 26yds Philip Rivers had 61yds and a 100% completion in the win over the Dallas Cowboys who didnt start Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Jason Witten and some key defensive players so it is a loss that could be blamed on lack of experience or rust, either way thats why its called Preseason football because the 2nd string players are usually playing in these games. Denver Broncos 21 Seattle Seahawks 16: Brock Osweiler: 6/12, 85yds, 1TD, 1INT Peyton Manning: 10/13, 78yds Juwan Thompson: 6 Rush, 59yds Demaryius Thomas: 5 Rec, 52yds Denver have some revenge on the Seahawks after their huge Super Bowl loss earlier in the year and they will hope to build on this for week 3, Im surprised that Manning threw 13 passes after every other starting QB threw an average of 5 passes. This game was so serious that there was even a little scuffle between the two teams.
