Rev. 14.11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Note: the only thing you can take to heaven with you is your works! Our works are what make our white robes in Heaven. Without works we are naked as a baby Jay bird. Now remember the smoke in verse 11? In Psalm 37 all the lines are quatrains. In the manuscripts there were no numbers before the lines. But 3 of the lines were not quatrains. Vs 7, 20, and 34. So if you ever think to yourself why does it seem that the wicked always seem to get ahead you can go there and find out for yourself that they dont. This is what is called an acrostic. You can look that word up and know what I mean by that. Ps. 37.7 rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 20. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; in to smoke shall they consume away. Note. Have you ever seen what happens to fat of meat when it hits the coals on your grill? It goes up in smoke. Right? 34. Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Note. Not only will it happen, keep patience and you will see it.
