Reykjavik, Day 3: Woke up at 7am, had a shower, breakfast and headed to town to try to resolve a serious power crisis. For some reason, both my iPhone and iPad cables plus the charger managed to stop working so I was forced to spend my hard-earned money in new cables and a portable battery, just in case. In the afternoon, went to the Reykjavik Museum of Photography to see Ragnars Axelssonar exhibition, a selection of black and white photos he has taken over the last three decades in which he documents the life of hunters in Greenland and farmers and fishermen in Iceland. Really beautiful images. I also booked a day tour the the South Coast of Iceland, which I should be taking on Monday. They say the landscape down south is amazing. Ill find out soon enough. In the evening, I went out for drinks with two girls Im sharing my room with, who funnily enough also work in advertising. We did a little pub crawl and by 1am I was in serious need of sleep so I called it a night. On my way back to the hostel, I decided to sit on a bench by the seaside, one day before my birthday, and stared at the calm water under clear arctic skies, thinking how fortunate and grateful I was to be there...
