Right then. Back like I said. Interstellar. Despite this being an entertaining and lengthy (especially after ingesting copious amounts water throughout the day) film, I feel theres a much deeper conspiracy within all this. To a movie themed around worm holes and time (of course those whove seen it will understand better) allow me to quote the Mcconau-meister from the cult classic Dazed and Confused: I get older, they stay the same age. Then signs of for this mind-bender 21 years later. Think about it. In any case, my first actual statement will be how I thoroughly enjoyed the longest and most expensive advert for corn Ive ever seen. The entirety of it all is this population of a not too dystopian future living on nothing but corn. After Magic Matts son and daughter dont succeed in school, he is finally fed up and stumbles upon NASA, who offers to send him into space to find new, stellar corn (perhaps of the inter variety). His daughter then hates him for not bringing her along on the corn trip. Oh, and theres also complex conspiracies, interplanetary exploration, and a comedic rectangle robot. As a whole interstellar was very entertaining. It was noticeable that it was a 3 hour long film, but at no point was I bored or left wondering when this would end. On the other hand, I felt this was borderline over hyped for me. Any of my colleagues who had seen it prior to me have all given extremely positive feedback. Make no mistake, I found it engaging, visually stimulating with good performances all around. While also finding it predictable and rehashed. Considering this has Nolan written all over it, at no point did this leave me the way Inception did with that stupid toppling top did. It just seemed like a Nolan film trying to be like a Nolan film. In a nutshell, Definitely worth that one watch in the theaters, but afterwards I cant imagine seeing it again for some time.
