Rising sea levels and extreme weather mean that the UK needs to have a clear national strategy to deal with coastal erosion, according to a new report by the National Trust. Over this winter thereve been cliff falls in the South East and a huge crack has developed along Birling Gap. Should we invest millions of pounds to protect our coastline? Or is it time to let nature take its course, and plan for a managed retreat inland?
