Rivoningo Care Centre opened its doors in April 2005 as a hospice - TopicsExpress

Rivoningo Care Centre opened its doors in April 2005 as a hospice for terminally ill HOMELESS people and as a care centre for elderly people living with mental illness. Up to date more than 500 people have passed through the centre. Many patients have improved health due to the provision of regular food and medication and could be discharged. Others however have died with dignity. Gilead (in conjunction with Rivoningo) is a home for people living with mental illness. We journey with people who dont have a place to go towards independent living and reintegration into society. The third leg of this cluster is Counselling and testing of people on the street for HIV/AIDS. The Health Unit described above is run by Tshwane Leadesrhip Foundation, working closely with churches and communities for urban transformation and is committed to help build healthy communities in places of struggle and / or transformation, and wants to demonstrate that it is possible to strengthen urban areas in ways that are radically inclusive socially and economically. With this background in mind I approach you and/or your company to consider donating anything that would enable us to put a small gift packet together for the devoted staff and for patients and residents, included are 40 females and 22 males. Your generosity in acknowledgement of our mutual active citizenship will be highly appreciated. You are welcome to contact me so that I can forward a letter of authority and to make arrangements in this regard, should you be in a position to assist on any scale. I wish you a wonderful and blessed Festive season.
