Rosie is a gorgeous buckskin/dun AQHA 12 yr old mare. She stands 14.2 hh and weighs a solid 1150 lbs. Rosie is BROKE BROKE and super gentle and sweet. Cant say enough great things about this mare- from her sweet personality, to her work ethic, quiet, smooth gaits, and amazing in the arena and out on trail- Rosie is truly the whole package. She gives you 110% every day and looks to please. She has EXCELLENT ground manners, stands quietly at the tie rail, great for farrier, loads and trailers perfectly, is great in a stall or pasture environment (is not marish), bathes, clips, and is safe all the way around. In the arena, she stands for mounting and dismounting, travels quietly at a walk, jog, trot, and canter, has a big stop, neck reins, moves off of leg pressure, and has a quiet and straight back-up. She picks her leads up from a walk, does flying lead changes, really LOVES to watch and work a cow, runs barrels at what speed you want, and has been roped off of in the branding pen and on the Heel-O-Matic and slower cattle. Rosie has the SMOOTHEST gaits and would be ideal for someone with back or hip problems. She is easy to cue and stays very light. She rides great in a bosal/hackamore, snaffle, bridle, halter- anything. She is the type of horse that you catch up, jump on barback with a halter, and ride all over. She LOVES people and loves to work and being ridden. Outside on the ranch or trail, Rosie is nothing less than fantastic!! She moves out nicely, covering ground, is not spooky, has been in all sorts of terrain, including rocky, steep, and rugged terrain, down to walking down the road close to traffic, bicycles, joggers, etc. She is a been there-done that kind of horse. She rides out alone or in a group- both with no problems. You can carry a flag off of her in all gaits, goes over tarps, thru water, and is accustomed to vehicles, bicycles, backpackers, and cattle. She has been to team sortings, gymkhanas, trail trials, and Jr. Rodeos and does great with the pressure, announcers, kids, and other horses. She would make an ideal sorting, trail, Jr. Rodeo, barrel racing, ranch, lesson, and true all around horse. Rosie is truly the whole package.
