Rough day for my girl yesterday, but she is feeling better today. She has had braces for more than 3 1/2 years (after only being told 2 1/2 -3 years total) and yesterday was finally the day to get them off. She was so excited. She has other issues of a small tooth and another baby tooth with no permanent tooth behind it that needed to be pulled. She has a temporary retainer with a couple of fake teeth. Needless to say, she was very sad with her results. She was trying to be brave, but the silent tears fell down her cheeks and the orthodontist and I both tried to keep it together. It is hard when your child hurts and you cannot fix it, but this is temporary and will one day be a distant memory. It looks like we may be putting braces on again in January to fix it, but wanted to at least show a before and after for as long as she has them off.
