Rt Hon.Dogara Yakubu Has this †o say; For my constituents who want me to abandon the courage to state the truth on the unconstitutional relocation of the headquarters of T/Balewa LGA, I challenge them to point to any provision of the Constitution that empowers the State Assembly or the Governor to relocate the headquarters of an LGA. I have referred the world to S 8(5) and S 315 of the 1999 Constitution as amended. I will retract my words and profusely apologise if any of them proves me wrong. To say otherwise is a lie and the devil is a father of all lies. Consequently, those of us who urge with threats of recall that I twist the truth have no representative in me. I will be glad if I m recalled for asserting the truth. Thank God my constituents are enlightened enough to separate sentiments from the truth. In any case, NASS is not Bauchi State House of Assembly. Here we protect our Constitution and Laws. We just threw out of the window, the 2013 Appropriation Act amendment Bill sent to us by the President on accounts of the fact that its not supported by the Constitution or any extant law. We stood against constitutional breaches in Rivers state without sentiments. The case of Bauchi State cannot be different. Those who are bitter and have problems with the truth are in the minority in my constituency. They can wait till 2015 to actualise their childish threat to recall me. My people love the truth regardless of our creed and ethnic groups. It is part of our heritage. Those are the people I represent and will continue to represent. I ll continue to stand for the truth no matter who is for or against it.
