Ruby Update Well I have had ruby for about 17 days and boy what a difference she has dropped about 10% of her initial body weight and is a much more active and happy girl . When I arrive home from work or just out and about doing errands Ruby greats me at the door with a toy, she is often walking around with toys now. We do 2 or three walks a day to help with her weight issues add I can see a big difference. I like to pick different places for walks to keep her interested, today for example I my wife had an appointment in Beaverton, I took the opportunity to throw Ringo and Ruby in the van and find a new walk location. Beaverton has a beautiful park with a river and lots of big old trees plenty of shade with benches not huge but we did many of laps and walked ruby for about 20 minutes took a break at the van for some fresh water and then did another few laps until the poor girl was exhausted. She has a hard time jumping into the back of my van so I have to give her a bit of a lift. She is a great passenger just sits between the seats or lies in the back. One of the funniest things is watching Ruby wedge herself under my computer desk to sleep at my feet. I don’t know how she does it but she squeezes in. Ruby Snores but nowhere near as bad now as when she first came. She used to snort like a pig when sniffing the ground but that has all but disappeared. If you are looking for a big fuzzy love bug that sucks at playing Frisbee than look no further this girl is all heart. Extremely well house trained I have seen her go 14 hours waiting for us to return from day trips. She does love to walk and her endurance is growing every day.
