Running a marathon is definitely on my to-do list in the near future. So the 3am wake-up call wasn’t that bad, considering the fact that I had the distinct honor of singing the National Anthem for the All American Marathon and Mike-to-Mike Half Marathon at Fort Bragg, N.C. Watching thousands of committed and dedicated men and women from 48 states and 5 countries cross the finish line with such ease was truly remarkable. It was honestly such an inspiring day! I met the first wheelchair finisher, Master Sergeant John Masson, and I even had the opportunity to meet Meb Keflezighi, the winner of the The Boston Marathon 2014! In reflection, I feel so incredibly honored, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to have meet such amazing human begins and the true heroes of our country!
