S.Charuhasan. +9198840378511 Alawarpet Chennai 600018 Tamilnadu India An open letter to the Prime Minister of India.... It s the sacred duty of The Prime Minister of India to decide the issue of economics and in that process consider the population explosion that has affected the demand and supply ratio that has kept the below poverty line crowd more than we desire. Ask any of your economists to study our family history of reproductive activity of my family in particular and those of the educated Brahmin family. I had one grandfather as a lawyer and another grandfather as deputy Thasiladar. With their marriage our family started as four persons in roughly in the start of the year 1900. My maternal grandfather and grandmother between them produced five daughters and four sons. My paternal grandparents produced between them four daughters and two sons. My parents produced three sons and one daughter. These three sons one daughter with their spouses was eight people between them have produced had five spouses counting the divorce and remarriage a total of nine humans have produced eight children. That points to a small reduction in Population. Now these eight children six of them are married two are yet to be married. Including the spouses this generation makes a total of fourteen Indians...... All the above fourteen have added only seven children aging from 25, 24, 23, 18, 6, and 5 and 3 year old respectively. This means that my branch has reduced my family population by one half. This is our contribution to the country apart from our being in reasonable comfort with three people winning medals from the president of India. India’s population was 33 crores including Pakistan Bangladesh and Silence. After separation India alone has reached 125 crores. Whatever be our effort in food production there will be a point at which both ends would fail to meet. From the time of Gandhi and Nehru to Sardar Manmohan Sing there had been no effort to contain population explosion. Four of my grandparents left four times the population in our family when they died. They were supposed to be educated progressive Indians. Mrs and Mr Charuhasan aged 80 and 84 respectively and with three acquired sons-in law will leave seven of our children which will also be a load on my country. Unless informed people take steps to control the population my sympathies go to the posterity that would suffer. Charuhasan Actor /advocate
