### SALVATION ### Some use the word, but have no idea what they talking about. Salvation is not about fixing your marriage, finances, self-esteem or relationships. DEFINITION? It is the deliverance from SIN AND ITS CONSEQUENCES, to be brought about BY FAITH in Christ JESUS ALONE! SAVED FROM WHAT? Eternal death in hell due to our sins against God; not from robbers or poverty or any earthly distress. Salvation is for souls to escape judgment. HOW DO I EARN SALVATION? By faith in Jesus alone. Believe Jesus is the Son of God (or God the Son) manifest in the flesh. Profess him Lord and Saviour. Believe in his physical death & resurrection. Salvation is only by grace through faith in Jesus. There is no other name/Saviour outside of Him! Good works dont save anyone(since theyre not good enough anyway!), but are fruits of salvation. Paul says, if salvation could be achieved by law-keeping, then Christ died for nothing (Gal 2:21 ). Knowing facts about Jesus doesnt save, for the devil himself knows points about Jesus, but is His greatest enemy! If you only believe but still love your sin, better be afraid; that might be evidence you never knew Christ! HOW DO I KNOW IM TRULY SAVED? A truly saved person is easily identified by his deeds. Have you repented of your sins? Do you now hate sin? Are you obeying the Word? The vast majority of people believe; though for many, it makes little difference in their lives. They “believe” Jesus rose from the dead just like they believe Napoleon lost the battle of Waterloo. Is that it? Certainly not! Demons also believe that! Salvation must be accompanied by a change in lifestyle. Repentance is belief in action, and should be the evidence of true conversion.
