SARAH BRINSON At just 18 years of age, Sarah moved to New York City to further pursue a career in dance. She is a graduate of the prestigious Tisch School for the Arts at NEW YORK UNIVERSITY where she studied modern dance, composition/choreography, anatomy, music, voice and acting. She has had the privilege to work for and assist choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Stacey Tookey, Joe Lanteri, Joey Dowling, Jason Parsons, Suzi Taylor, Larry Keigwin, and Dwight Roden among others. Sarah’s on stage credits include: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Once Upon a Mattress and Mark Morris New Love Song Waltzes. She can be seen in film and on television: “Cooking’s a Drag” starring William Shatner, “The Winning Season” starring Emma Roberts and ABC’s”‘Once Upon A Time.” Sarah was featured on FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance.” She has worked with choreographer Stacey Tookey in the creation of “Dancer,” a new musical, set to open in Toronto, ON and is excited to be an originating member of Project20 Arts Collective and Artistic Director/Founder Donald Sales in his full length creation of ‘Gr33n.’ Sarah is currently on faculty at the prestigious BROADWAY DANCE CENTER in New York City. Sarah has created work on the students of Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, The International Training Program at Harbour Dance Centre and training programs throughout North America. She is currently hired to create work on youth companies throughout North America. She thrives on the creative process and is constantly looking to be in an environment that encourages new ideas and inspirations to share through the art of movement. She then, in turn, strives to ignite dancers with a deep sense of passion and character to inspire growth technically and artistically. Sarah is the founder and creative director of “Acting for Dancers,” a two day workshop series bringing acting techniques to dancers to help them find a more genuine and honest character development and performance quality.
