SENIOR ANALYST –STRATEGY & PLANNING (TELCO) Doha, Qatar Role Purpose Support development of the Group’s long and medium term strategic direction Support Group Operating Companies (OpCos) in developing business unit level strategies aligned with the Group strategy Identify, analyze, and establish “Points of View” on key industry and market trends Support the Director of Corporate Strategy and the CSO in advising senior Group management on strategic issues Role Accountabilities Produce high quality, organized and explainable presentations and financial models Conduct analysis, develop models (market and financial) and presentations as supporting evidence for Group strategic choices Research and analyze key trends and influences in the telecoms market Conduct financial and benchmark Group’s performance vis-à-vis peer Groups and Operators Provide transaction support including input on key assumptions, competitor analysis, business plan input Provide analytical support to the strategy, research, planning, and business development teams Remain up-to-date on internal and external factors exerting influence on the Group, its operating companies, and potential acquisition targets Analyze the evolution of key markets and industries, changes in the macro-economic situation, the emergence of new (disruptive) technologies and other key trends to assess the potential impact on the company’s Groups business Qualifications / Requirements Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business or Economics 2-3 years of previous experience in a strategy or finance role – financial modeling skills a plus Must be comfortable with PowerPoint and Excel Ability to collect data, establish facts, and structure valid conclusions Ability to interpret financial and technical reports Interest in technology and the internet Strong time planning and organization skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively Previous international experience, preferably in the MENA region Client offers competitive tax free package.
