SEVERE WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER THIRTEEN TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: TYPHOON “ODETTE” (USAGI) ISSUED AT 11:00 AM, 20 SEPTEMBER 2013 (Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today) TYPHOON “ODETTE” HAS ACCELERATED AND GAINED MORE STRENGTH AS IT MOVES CLOSER TO EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “ODETTE” was located based on all available data at 350 km East Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan or at 360 km East of Calayan Island, Cagayan (19.5°N, 125.1°E). Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 240 kph. Movement: Forecast to move Northwest at 19 kph. Forecast Positions: Typhoon “ODETTE” is expected to be at 90 km Northwest of Basco, Batanes or at 170 km North of Calayan Island, Cagayan by tomorrow morning.
