SHEIKH GIBRIMA RTA : I was with Shaykha Fatima bint Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse rta. She said concerning Shaykh Gibrima rta. He is such a strong Wali that no Saint surpass him in Marifa. He use to dig the ground and enter. He will ask his murids to cover him. They will leave him there. For many months no body will take food or water there. Only Allah knows how he gets sustained. He will be there worshipping his Lord the most high. He is a Shaykh who is dissolved in Salatul-Fatihi hence he is called Sahibu Salati He once took a bag of grains and on each grain he recited Salatul-Fatihi till the bag got exhausted. Shaykh Gibrima about him I heard Shaykh Aliyu Sarki one of the Shaykh I love to visit said...and this is very similar to how Shaykha Fati Niasse r.a said it also... They said; One day when Shaykh Gibrima seek the maqam of Sahibul Faydah, he entered into sayr or spiritual journey. In this journey he has already overtook the Awliya. Shaykh Gibrima is a personality who is so versatile that he has what it takes to claim that Maqam. Because even Baye rta confirmed it that if it is by Azkar that this Maqam is bestowed on a Wali, then Shaykh Gibrima will have been the possessor and Baye respects him a lot. Hence he (Baye rta) named him al-Arifu Billahi meaning the one who knows Allah. He is also called Dhul-Maarif meaning the owner of Gnosticism. He is also called Sahibu Salatul-Fatihi among other charismatic names. How did he submit to Baye? Hear it. So in the spiritual travel, he saw all the Awliya behind him but he saw one figure moving in front of him. He wonder who this pole is Then he intensify his speed and the more he move closer to him, the more the figure moves away from him. He now started to trace the person with the azkar.He was guided by a star. This star took him to Senegal. Everyone should have known by now that it is Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse rta that he saw on that journey. On the occasion of seeking who this Shaykh is, Shaykh Gibrima said in his mind; I will test this Wali with 3 questions when I meet him. If he answers them, I will agree with him as Sahibul Fayda Hmm when Shaykh Gibrima reached Madina Kaulakh he met Shaykh Barham rta Shaykh Greeted him and said; YOU HAVE COME TO ME WITH 3 QUESTIONS THIS IS YOUR FIRST QUESTION AND THIS IS THE ANSWER! THIS IS YOUR SECOND QUESTION AND THIS IS THE ANSWER! THIS IS YOUR THIRD QUESTION AND THIS IS THE ANSWER! Shaykh Gibrima rta was very amazed and he removed his turban and his cap and said to Baye I am now your Murid I shall never put on cap and turban again. After delebrations between these two tough Shaykhs, Baye said at least wear the cap even if you wont wear turban again. That is why in pictures Shaykh Gibrima hardly wear turban. There is a tough work on Salatul-Fatihi written by Shaykh. It is called Jihazu sarihi wa saa-ihi wa saabihi wal aakiful faalihi fi tawajjuhaati bi salaatil faatihi. I heard directly from Shaykha Ummuhani Niasse rta said about it. When the book was published, it was suppose to be sent to Cairo Egypt. But it mistakenly was taken to Dakar Senegal. When Bayes brother got the book, he red it and was so astonished. He then took it to Baye and said hmm you say you are a Gausu. The person that write this book is more than you. Baye didnt talk...but he later said dont worry, the writer will soon come. He hasnt even finish talking when Shaykh Gibrima entered and greeted Akaramakallah. Then Baye took the book and gave Shaykh Gibrima. He said are you the one that wrote this book? Shaykh Gibrima said Akaramakallah afwan is just childs play. Then Baye rta stamp the book for him and endorse it as well as confirmed it
