SISTERHOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE PHILIPPINES CLUBS As reported recently, progress with the establishment of a sisterhood relationship with the Rotary Clubs of East Davao, Waling-Waling (both from Davao City in the Southern Philippines) and the RC of Prospect has continued to be very positive. At its June meeting, our RCA Board has approved a small group of us visiting Davao City in August to undertake the establishment and planning activities before a full group from our Club and the Prospect Club would visit early in 2015 to commence “hands on experience” on our joint projects. The immediate plan is for our small group (from RCA and RC Prospect) to leave Adelaide on Sunday August 17th at 10.40am, overnight in Singapore and then travel to Davao on Monday morning (9am - 1pm). We would then meet with our counterparts, attend their meetings, visit their projects and formally sign our MOA in the period from Monday afternoon until Friday evening. We would depart Davao at 1.35pm on Saturday August 23, transit through Singapore and arrive back in Adelaide at 8.15am on Sunday August 24th. Travel and accommodation would cost participants approximately AUD $1,850. President Frank O’Neill, PE Peter Neal, PP Simon Drew and Director D’Arcy Walsh have volunteered to go and are asking if there are a few other members of our Club who would like to join them. Please let D’Arcy (mobile: 0418844170) know if you are interested in participating. It is hoped that a couple of Prospect RC members will join the team.
