SMACKOBA will be joining SMACK and well wishers in fundraising for the family of the late Anne Kasaija on 21st April 2014 at the college. Mrs. Kasaija served the school from 2001 to 2013 as a teacher of English, Literature and General paper. What many of us remember her for most though was the revival of the drama club and introduction of interhouse music, dance and drama competitions in SMACK. She was patron of the drama club from 2002 when it was re-launched till the time of her passing. In addition to fundraising for her children, an annual Anne Kasaija prize for the best actor will be inaugurated during the annual MDD competitions that day. As a drama trainer she was very passionate about natural acting as the defining quality of a good actor. This prize will therefore serve as a memorial to the lady who went so far and above to instill this quality especially and so much more to the field of MDD at SMACK. All contributions to this initiative are welcome as all roads lead to Kisubi on 21st April 2014 for the event that we all so remember her for.
