SME Credit Officer Location: Dubai, UAE Job Purpose: •Role holders at this level are responsible for carrying out assessments of completed Credit proposals through the application of well-developed investigative and analytical abilities. Their findings will form the basis of credit proposals that initiate the decision-making process. These analyst positions will be located in Head Office. Principal Accountabilities •Receives credit proposals under SME Segment and examines them to ensure completeness of supporting information/ documents and compliance with Bank’s requirements. •Conducts proper due diligence as to identification of gaps, if any in terms of disclosures/ information in proposals •Addresses and clarifies issues or points raised at the review stage prior to preparation of the SWOT Analysis •Prepares credit proposals with SWOT Analysis covering all significant factors (Strengths & Risks) for review and recommendation by Managers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. •Addresses further queries/ requirements if any required by the Team Leaders / Unit Head for decision making or initiation of the decision process. •Communicates the Management decision on credit proposals to Business Analysts, RMs, Branch Managers, Segment Heads, Other Units & Unit Heads •Maintains proper records for receipt, processing & disposal of credit proposals/ for monitoring reports, internal/ external requirements •Provides clarifications to Credit Control Unit for the preparation of post approval borrowing documentation. Desired Profile: •MBA/CFA/CA in a Finance discipline. •3/4 year’s finance experience with 1 year in general banking and 2/3 years in the SME Credit function. •Written and spoken English – preferable. •Good Analytical/ Report writing skills/ Strong presentation skills •Computer literate with strong working knowledge of business software applications, particularly spreadsheets •Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving •Concern for order and attention to details •Concern for quality – 90% Acceptance level of decisions •Well organised work – Team Player •High Level of commitment in every aspect of work & values
