SO, despite being called a lazy asshole and told to go back to work today, I think today has been a very productive, and positive day. I attended the rally this morning and the amount of people there was truly inspiring. At least 10,000 employees, customers, and vendors showed up and it was truly a great atmosphere. We even had a plane circle a few times beneath the helicopters with a sign showing their support. After the rally I went back to Market Basket and saw all the support we still have in the area. People beeping, yelling, waving and giving us thumbs up. It means more to us than you know. There was also a car full of little kids all chanting ATD which was amazing, and also a car full of people in V for Vendetta masks. I get the reference, youre awesome. As most of you probably know, the BOD hasnt given any definitive response yet. We will continue to stand outside and support our CEO until he is allowed to buy the company. He is the ONLY person we will work for. He is the only one that will keep the prices low, the only one that will treat us than more than just a number, and the only one that will take care of us. If you dont want Market Basket sold to people that will turn it into another grocery chain, with high prices and questionable customer service, please continue to support us and boycott Market Basket until he returns. The harder we hit them in the pockets, the quicker theyre going to sell. And I cant imagine anyone even thinking about buying unless its ATD. Hes the only one that can put this company back together again, and I have a feeling its going to be bigger and better than it ever was before. #mbstrong
