SPACE conducted NASA outreach program ISS EarthKAM for the 1st time with students at Chandigarh SPACE Chandigarh office, organised and conducted a unique workshop in Chandigarh - Sally Ride ISS EarthKAM (Earth Knowledge Acquired by Middle school students). SPACE the pioneer organization working towards the development of science and astronomy in India, has been conducting this NASA educational outreach program in India for the past 4 years, to promote students engagement in science, technology and astronomy and it was brought to the students of Chandigarh for the 1st time. About 40 students from St. Stephens School, Chandigarh, enrolled under the initiative of Aman Mittal, Head SPACE Chandigarh office, participated in the July mission of EarthKAM which was open to Middle School students from 9th to 12th July, and enjoyed taking stunning, fascinating pictures of Earth through a camera mounted on the International Space Station (ISS). Workshops were also conducted by SPACE experts at several schools in Delhi NCR during the same duration in which around 300 students participated. Since its inception, the Sally Ride ISS EarthKAM program has produced a spectacular collection of more than 52,000 digital images of Earth.
