Jennings dished out a career-high 21 assists while scoring 24 points, Andre Drummond had 26 points and 16 rebounds, and Greg Monroe ended the night with 24 points and ten rebounds. Detroit has won 12 out of its last 15 games to improve to 17-and-26. They will travel to Milwaukee on Saturday to take on the Bucks. Branden Dawson led the Spartans with 12 points and ten rebounds, Gavin Schilling contributed 11 points and grabbed ten rebounds and Denzel Valentine added 11 points. MSU, 13-6 overall and 4-2 in the Big Ten, will tip off against Nebraska on the road Saturday. Chris Fowler scored 14 points and had 10 assists and Central Michigan rallied to beat Buffalo 84-73 on Wednesday night. Fowler, the Mid-American Conference assists leader, is only 47 shy of becoming the Chippewas all-time assists leader. Braylon Rayson led Central Michigan in scoring with 19 points, John Simons added 15 and nine rebounds and Rayshawn Simmons scored 11 points. The Chips improved to 13-and-3, 3-and-2 in the MAC. Austin Richie scored 16 points and Tucker Haymond added 15 as Western Michigan came back to beat Miami (Ohio) 69-58 on Wednesday for its fourth straight win. Richie made four of Western Michigans seven 3-pointers and Haymond hit eight of the Broncos 20 free throws. David Brown and Drake LaMont scored 10 points apiece as Western Michigan (13-5, 4-1 Mid-American) won back-to-back games on the road. Anthony Henderson made three of Bowling Greens 11 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to help the Falcons beat Eastern Michigan 74-58 on Wednesday night. Tim Bond led Eastern Michigan (12-6, 1-4) with 13 points and Raven Lee added 11. The opposition will be coached by Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, who used his first pick to take Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Romo joins teammate DeMarco Murray and Browns cornerback Joe Haden, who helped Irvin select their squad. Team Irvin will feature wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Golden Tate, Emmanuel Sanders and Randall Cobb. Team Carer will have wide outs Antonio Brown, Jordy Nelson, T.Y. Hilton and A.J. Green. Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford will be on Team Irvin, along with teamate Golden Tate. The Pro Bowl is Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, home of Super Bowl 49. The Washington Nationals are showing off the newest addition to their starting rotation. Free-agent and former Detroit Tigers ace Max Scherzer (SURE-zur) was formally introduced on Wednesday. Scherzer signed a seven-year contract with the Nationals worth a reported 210-million-dollars. The 30-year-old right-hander spent the last five seasons with the Detroit Tigers. He went 18-and-5 with a 3.15 ERA last season after winning the American League Cy Young Award the year before with a 21-and-3 record and a career-low 2.90 ERA. The Grand Rapids Griffins fell to the Chicago Wolves last night 4-to-2 on their home ice. Left Wingers Kevin Porter and Jeff Hoggan lit the lamp for the Griffins, whos record slipped to 19-16-3-and-1 with the loss.
