SUNDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2014 TOPIC: KEYS TO HIS PRESENCE SCRIPTURE: And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. John 2:1-2 THOUGHT: The price you are willing to pay for something is what communicates the value you have for that thing. God is present where He is valued, respected and celebrated. He is present where He is needed. Jesus was not invited to the wedding at Cana of Galilee to perform a miracle, but because He was valued so much that they believed that the occasion could not hold without Him. God is present where He is pursued. There are many miracle seekers, and very few God seekers. What do you value the most in your life? Many of us are very particular about what we wear, our hairstyles, car, etc. I wish we can place such level of value for God in our lives. How do you communicate your value for something? By the price you are ready to offer for it of course. The price you are willing to pay for something is what communicates the value you have for that thing. When a man loves and wants to marry a woman, he is ready to pay the bride-price and fulfil the necessary conditions, in order to marry her. Some men say they want to marry some ladies but have kept them waiting for 3-5 years. They say they like them so much yet they keep them waiting. It is price that communicates value. What price are you willing to pay in your relationship with God? In your pursuit of God, how much of your time are you willing and ready to spend with Him? How much of your resources will you invest in His cause? It determines how much of His Presence you will carry. The reason why we don’t manifest the same level of the Presence of God is because we don’t pay the same price. We do not have the same dimension of God’s Presence because we don’t have the same sense of value for Him. Remember this: the price you are willing to pay for something is what communicates the value you have for that thing. ASSIGNMENT (S): Endeavour to surround your environment with worship songs all the time. Show God how much you value Him by doing those things that He loves.
