Saturday, September 28, 2013 Let us pause with those for whom we are praying, and take time to ponder in our hearts the Lord, our shield, our glory, the one who lifts up our heads and the one who answers. (Psalm 3:3,4) Luke 9:43-45 Christ Jesus, help me by your Holy Spirit to accommodate the betrayal of others . .. Because I live in this complex world, I too will be betrayed by others. Because I follow Jesus, I too can not only survive betrayal, but by the Holy Spirit of God witness its transformation from death into new life, from vengeance into prayerful forgiveness, and from the depths of despair into resurrection. With a heart battered by betrayal and so the death of visions of fame, success and security, I proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess with abundant life your resurrection, until you come again. Christ Jesus help me by your Holy Spirit to accommodate the betrayal of others. I will turn their mourning into joy and give them gladness for sorrow. (Jeremiah 31) Soli ad gloriam dei
