Saw a really boring MC on the weekend, in fact he was on and off the stage so quickly it was hard to realise there was even an MC. Basically he just said, "welcome to... we will start with A + B (performers) please welcome them" ... and he was gone, the audience was still cold - and we had no idea who these people were. The MC needs to warm up the audience. The job of the MC is to RELATE to the audience and to build a relationship with them.
