Saw this hawk today (April 11, 2014) chasing songbirds through some brushy woods this evening. It was small, no more than about 10 or so tall. Lakeville, Minnesota (outer tier suburb of the Twin Cities). I initially thought it was a Sharp-Shinned rather than a Coopers Hawk, but a friend who has worked with Coopers Hawks believes it to be a male Coopers, and cited quite a few solid reasons. I welcome others opinions, and why you feel one way or the other (or yet another). Im not looking for arguments, I am looking only to LEARN. Thanks in advance!
