Scam Alert!!!! This will be a little long so bear with me...I received a msg on my home phone stating its the IRS and there will be a lien on all my assets and accounts if I dont call back. So Im a little nervous and I call back. I get this Indian accent speaking guy verifying my phone # and address. The address he had was my last address from 5yrs ago. I dont give him my address(I figure the IRS knows my address) He then states my returns have been audited from 08-12(red flag, I have been at this address since 09) He then states I owe $3500 in back taxes or someone will show up at my door to arrest me...I was like whoa the Govt always lets you make payments. So he tries to get gruff and say well the authorities will be at your home in 45mins At this point I am like ok send them He hangs up the phone. I call Frat that actually WORKS for the IRS and he tells me its a scam. The IRS will not call you, they always send a notification in the mail AND they very rarely call back. Now that my blood pressure is down, here is the # 866-978-6754. So if you see this number or the IRS will have the police come to your house to arrest you. Its a scam!!!!
