Although the London police did not name the person arrested on Monday, well informed sources said his name is Iftikhar Hussain. They also claimed that Hussain is the cousin of MQM chief Altaf Hussain and owner of one of the two houses searched by the London Metropolitan police two days ago. According to reports, the 52-year-old British Citizen of Pakistani origin was arrested at London’s Heathrow Airport at approx 10:10 AM on Monday morning after landing at the airport on a flight from Canada. According to London Metropolitan Police, the person arrested from airport on Monday morning was nabbed after complete monitoring for months. It is pertinent to mention that the British Laws don’t allow the arrest of a person until sufficient evidences of his evolvement in any case are collected. Sources also claimed that Bushra Raza, the wife of MQM leader Raza Haroon was arrested during the 55hrs long search operation of two houses some 2 days ago. Sources said the police had taken away Bushra for interrogation with them. Her counsel on Monday filed a bail application for the release of Haroon’s wife. However, no bail was granted by the court till filing of this report. It may be mentioned here that Raza Haroon was also present in the house during operation and was grilled for four hours. The police, however, took away Bushra only with them for interrogations in connection to the case.
